Wilton Manors West
Sitting between two forks of the Middle River with ribbons of canals running throughout the town, Wilton Manors is known as Fort Lauderdale’s “Island City”. Wilton Drive, with its many dining, shopping and entertainment options, is an easy walk from most residences, and the beach is just a short bike ride away. City parks include a canoe trail, mangrove preserve, nature walks, and a center that hosts cultural events and outdoor movies. It’s known as a gay village, but its population is diverse. This is a casual, upscale and handsome urban community that is a comfortable home to gays and straights, artists and manatees, where large boats and kayaks are equally popular. All homes that are located on the river have private docks and have direct access to the ocean. There are two fixed bridges before you reach the intracoastal.
