Harbor Inlet
Located where the Intercoastal Waterway meets the Atlantic Ocean on a protected bay, it’s no wonder that some of the residents are retired Captains and Admirals. This is a barrier island community surrounded on all sides by water. In addition to waterfront lots, there are winding sidewalks, decorative street lights, roundabouts to slow traffic, professional landscaping and a gatehouse used by Fort Lauderdale Police as a substation. The mix of ages in this neighborhood share a strong and vibrant sense of community, as shown by their “Helping Hands” policy that brings in mail or trash cans for traveling neighbors, and lots of other small friendly offerings that makes everyone happy to live here.
